The Karsh Institute of Democracy’s Student Advisory Council hosts its inaugural Student Pitch Day for Democracy, inspired by the popular TV show Shark Tank. Undergraduate students at UVA have the opportunity to design their own initiatives that promote civic engagement on Grounds. Students pitch their ideas to a panel of judges, including members of the Karsh Institute’s Student Advisory Council. After the presentations, the panel will select a group of winners to receive funding to bring their ideas to life.
