Frances Lee

Frances E. Lee is a professor of politics and public affairs in Princeton University’s department of politics and at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. She specializes in congressional politics, national policymaking, party politics, and representation. She is editor of the Cambridge Elements Series in American Politics, a series editor for the Chicago Studies in American Politics, former co-editor of Legislative Studies Quarterly, and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Lee, whose research has been featured in many outlets, has authored and co-authored several books, including Insecure Majorities: Congress and the Perpetual Campaign. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and her doctoral degree from Vanderbilt University.
