John Harris is the cofounder and global editor-in-chief of POLITICO. Harris began his career at the Washington Post, covering politics on the local, state, and national levels. From 1995 to 2001, he covered the Clinton White House, later writing The Survivor: Bill Clinton in the White House. He also coauthored, with Mark Halperin, The Way To Win: Clinton, Bush, Rove, and How To Take the White House in 2008. Harris is a member of the board of trustees for Carleton College, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He is also a member of the Miller Center’s Governing Council.
