Peter Roskam

Peter Roskam was elected to the United States Congress in 2007 as the 6th district representative for Illinois. During his six-term tenure, Roskam served on the House Ways and Means Committee, the House Financial Services Committee, and in House leadership as the chief deputy whip. Roskam also served in both the Illinois House of Representatives and State Senate for a total of 13 years. Currently, Roskam is a Partner at the DC-based law firm BakerHostetler, where he is a leader of the federal policy team. In this position, he helps clients navigate the impact of legislation. He also serves as the vice chairman of the National Endowment for Democracy and is on the board of directors for the Center for US Global Leadership. Roskam graduated from the University of Illinois and received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
