Theresa Castor is interim vice provost of academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She started at UW-Parkside in 2000 in the department of communication and served as department chair from 2015 to 2021. Prior to her current role, Castor was faculty director of internships at the Alan E. Guskin Center for Community and Business Engagement. Among her strategic areas of interest in higher education are high-impact learning practices throughout the curriculum, career-integrated learning experiences such as internships and work-based learning, innovative and flexible means of instructional delivery, and supporting liberal arts education. Castor holds a Ph.D. in speech communication from the University of Washington, Seattle, a master’s degree in rhetoric and communication, and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and rhetoric and communication from the University of California, Davis.
