Timothy Denevi

Timothy Denevi is an associate professor in the Master of Fine Arts program at George Mason University, where he teaches nonfiction. His most recent book is Freak Kingdom: Hunter S. Thompson’s Manic 10-Year Crusade Against American Fascism, published in 2018 by Hachette/PublicAffairs. He is also the author of Hyper, published in 2014 by Simon & Schuster. His essays on politics, sport, and culture have recently appeared in Salon, New York Magazine, CNN.com, Literary Hub, and The New York Times.
