Bobbie Laur
- President, Campus Compact
Bobbie Laur is president of Campus Compact, the largest national organization dedicated to higher-education civic and community engagement. Campus Compact’s mission is to advance the public purposes of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve equitable outcomes for communities and educate students for civic and social responsibility. With deep experience in the institutionalization of community engagement and by creating institution-wide strategies to advance the work, Laur has counseled and supported campuses throughout the country to strengthen civic and community engagement. Laur previously served as the executive director of the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities and held several administrative positions at San Diego State University and Towson University, including serving as the associate vice president for outreach. She is in the process of completing her doctorate in public administration from the University of Baltimore’s College of Public Affairs.
