Climate Change and Disproportionate Health Burdens
Climate change exacerbates air pollution, worsens forest fires and storms, and expands the ranges of vector-borne diseases. But the health burdens do not fall equally locally or globally. This panel is a follow-up to the successful Medical Center Hour in January 2023, which discussed the health of individuals, communities, and social systems as they relate to the health of our environment. Experts return to consider direct impacts of climate change on public health, and how communities, health care systems, and clinicians can adapt.
