Stephanie van Hover is a professor of social Studies education at the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia. A former middle school teacher, she advises and teaches all students in the secondary social studies teacher education program at UVA. Her research focuses on teaching, learning, and assessing history in secondary standards-based classrooms.
