Before joining the Karsh Institute as an associate, Abigail Matthew Wade was a fellow and economist at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she focused on policy and research related to economic mobility and poverty reduction, and provided executive support to interagency councils gathering senior leadership across nine departments and agencies.
Prior to that, Matthew Wade worked at Baltimore County Government as a fiscal and policy analyst and at M&T Bank as an assistant branch manager. She earned a B.A. in economics from Williams College, an M.A. in economics from the University of Virginia, and is currently pursuing a project management certificate through UVA’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
