Ellie Stoneking serves as the inaugural manager for executive and operational affairs. Born and raised in Charlottesville, Stoneking comes from a family that has called this area home for generations—many of whom are proud UVA alumni. She attended high school locally at the Covenant School before taking a brief break from to pursue competitive horseback riding within the Virginia showing circuit. She made her re-entry into higher education via Piedmont Virginia Community College, then decided to attend Old Dominion University to earn her BS in communications with an emphasis in public relations.

With more than seven years' experience in higher education administration, all at the University of Virginia in the Office of the President, Stoneking began as a member of the President’s Office Events Team then transitioned to briefing coordinator to the president. In 2024, she was promoted to assistant to the president and briefing manager.

Stoneking currently lives in downtown Charlottesville with her husband, Ben Stoneking, who also works at and attends UVA, and her 3-year-old daughter, Ruby.
