Mary Beth joined the Karsh Institute of Democracy in 2021 after working in the live event and music industry for 35+ years. She started her career as Studio Manager for Bias Recording in Washington, DC working closely with national Go-Go, Bluegrass and Rock/Pop artists. She served as Tour Manager for Grammy Award winning artists for 18 years, leading 25+ domestic and 18+ international tours, served as Production Manager for The Paramount Theater and Ting Pavilion, Charlottesville, VA; General Manager of the Paramount Theater where she raised money to support Arts Education, Assistant to the Producer of Lockn’ Music Festival as Artist Contract Administrator, Venue Manager for Infinity Downs Farm where she managed sold out festivals and concerts including The Revivalists, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Bruce Hornsby and The Festy. Mary Beth has served on the Board of the League of Historic American Theaters and The Front Porch Roots Music School. She is a graduate of the Center Nonprofit Excellence Board Academy for leadership in the nonprofit sector. She holds a BA in English and is active in supporting the arts in her community.
