UVA Student Representative, Karsh Institute Advisory Board
Celia Calhoun is a fourth year undergraduate at UVA, from Bethesda, Maryland. She is majoring in public policy and leadership, and economics. She has interned at the Karsh Institute of Democracy since her first year at UVA, where she has enjoyed working on a number of projects that have deepened her knowledge of democratic institutions and governance. She is currently a research assistant at Sloane Lab, where she is studying students' roles in university technology governance and working on establishing a Student Technology Council at UVA. Calhoun is also working with the Karsh Institute, University of Virginia School of Law, and University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School to research the constitutions for each of the United States' 50 states. She is serving as the student representative on the Karsh Advisory Board in the 2025–26 academic year.
