Vivian Feggans is an event planner at the Karsh Institute of Democracy. Prior to joining Karsh, she worked at UVA’s Contemplative Sciences Center as the events coordinator, and previously she worked at UVA’s Chemistry Department as the administrative and events coordinator. In 2018 she found the yearlong project, Writers Remembered: A Literary Collective of Black Women in Charlottesville that culminated in a stage production she co-wrote and edited titled, We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For. In her leisure time she volunteers as a writing workshop and retreat facilitator for women. She earned her Level One Instructor Certificate of Training in Kundalini Yoga at A Place to Breathe in Charlottesville, VA, and BA Degree in Literature at the American University in Washington, DC. She loves writing and is a tireless advocate in her community, where she teaches yoga weekly.
