Associate Director of Content and Marketing
Natalie Ermann Russell is associate director of content and marketing at UVA’s Karsh Institute of Democracy. Prior to that, she served as communications manager and senior editor at the Miller Center of Public Affairs, a nonpartisan affiliate of the University of Virginia that specializes in the U.S. presidency, public policy, and political history. Before joining UVA, she was the editor of local-foods magazine Edible Blue Ridge and a freelance writer for national publications that included USA Weekend, Real Simple, and Garden & Gun. Before relocating from New York City to Charlottesville, she served as managing editor at Martha Stewart Living and copy chief at O, The Oprah Magazine. Russell is the author of two books: Outdoor Entertaining Idea Book and New Backyard Idea Book (both Taunton).
