Will Thompson is a program manager at the Karsh Institute of Democracy, where he develops and manages events and initiatives including the Practitioner Fellows Program. Will comes to UVA from Houston, Texas, where he worked in local government management. He previously served as a financial consultant and supported special projects for local government entities in southwestern Virginia and Appalachia. Will began his career with NASA’s Office of Communications, where he coordinated projects for the History Division, including compiling the annual Aeronautics and Space Report of the President for submission to Congress. 

Will holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Virginia Tech.
